Dear Parents and Guardians,
As the school year comes to an end, i remain incredibly thankful to our parent community who continue to support us. Many people help around the school each day, they do it selflessly and without any expectations of accolades, but i feel it is important to recognise them at this time of year.
- To our P&F executive and those who volunteer to support the P&F, you continued support and encouragement for all that is done at St Paul's is very much appreciated.
- To our fete committee and all those who offer one or two hours on fete day, your tireless work when the fete comes around is very much appreciated. It certainly pays off and the school wouldn't be as well resourced without the fantastic community event.
- To the parents who help out in the classroom, library and clothing pool, without your continued commitment we wouldn't be able to offer the children what we do each day.
- To our canteen volunteers who have given tireless hours and committment over the years. Your work has been very much appreciated.
May your Christmas be filled with many blessings and may you find peace and renewed energy for the New Year. I look forward to continuing our work together at St Paul's in 2020.
Kind regards,
Michael Reardon

Student Thank You Letter
At the start of the year I was invited to take part in quick smart. I quickly learnt strategies to expand my learning and improve my accuracy and answers especially in multiplication and division. There has been lots of emotions thoughout the year. I have learnt not only maths but that you only get so many opportunities like this in your life and that this is one of the ones to accept. Now it’s the end and I am so thankful for this opportunity to attend quick smart. I was crying when I sat my test because I was upset to finish quick smart. But now I can show everyone how well I have improved. It’s only been less than 4 terms and I have taken away so many strategies and help to now excel in my life so the very minimum l can do is say a very special thank you. From saying math equations in my head when swimming up and down the lanes to having no words at all to describe how you have impacted my life to help me. Having a teacher like you is very rare because you are the only one that can connect maths to swimming which is a big part of my life and when I was writing this I was sitting with the bags beside the pool. The thank you letters on the wall are not to brag but for us to understand how special we are to have you Mrs Ferdinands. If we had to pay you it would cost trillions but it is so worth it that the price should double and one last final thank you Mrs Ferdinands.

NATIVITY PLAY ~ 5:00 PM VIGIL CHRISTMAS EVE
Parents with children from about K-3 are welcome to include their little cherubs in the Christmas Nativity play after Holy Communion. This little dramatic presentation of the Christmas story is always a wonderful few minutes for the children. A rehearsal and distribution of costumes is planned for 21 December in the Church at 2:00 PM. If interested, please be on time.
Welcome to Father Joseph Pothenparimpil
Fr Joseph, belonging to the Missionary Society of St. Thomas the Apostle (MST) has been serving in Australia since 2009 in various parishes within the Diocese of Sandhurst up until his move to the Diocese of Wollongong in 2019.
Fr Joseph was born on 8 May 1963 in Kerala, India to a traditional, agricultural family of Catholic faith. He is the youngest of three children. His siblings and Mother live in India. Mum is in her 80s and visited Australia in 2017.
After his Priestly Ordination on 30 April 1992, Fr Joseph served mainly in the suburbs of one of the busiest cities in India, Mumbai.
He was instrumental in acquiring lands for building five churches by organising various communities while there. His last project was building and developing Santhome School at Mira Road for his missionary society (MST) where he served as the project manager and administrator before his move to Australia.
During his 11 years of service in the Diocese of Sandhurst, Fr Joseph was parish priest at St. Mary’s, Mooroopna, St. Michael's and Sacred Heart parishes of Tallangatta and Corryong respectively. He was also the Canonical Administrator of St Michael’s School, Tallangatta and Sacred Heart School, Corryong.
Fr. Joseph longed for the hustle and bustle of an urban parish after working in regional/rural Victoria for a long time and hence decided to move up here. Camden, with its busy public places and large congregation, brings back nostalgic memories of his busy Mumbai life in India. Father Joseph is looking forward to starting at Camden and getting to know everyone.
Christmas Mass Times
A full table will be presented in next week’s Parish Community News containing the details of all the Masses including celebrants, vocalists, choristers and musicians.
The Vigils at Camden will be 5:00 pm, 7:00 pm, 9:00 pm. There’s also a Midnight Mass and a 9:00 am Mass on Christmas morning.
There will also be a Vigil at Oakdale at 5:00 pm and at The Oaks at 7:00 pm
