Sporting Schools Grant - Term 1 2020
In Term 4, St Pauls was successful in applying for a Sporting Schools Grant for 2020. This grant has allowed the school to engage Hockey NSW to deliver a six week hockey program for Year 4. This program will introduce the children through a sequential program to gain fundamentals of hockey skills. We have also received funds for Mrs Groot to run a Baseball & Volleyball program during Term 1 with other grades.
Tiger Shield
On Saturday ,19 October 2019, St Paul's competed in the interschool Tiger Shield competition at Ron Dine Memorial, Camden. Students from Years 3 to 6 formed 6 teams who represented our school with great pride, humility and passion. The junior girls and senior girls teams both qualified for the semifinals and the Year 6 boys team advanced to the grand final but unfortunately were defeated 2 - 1. All in all it was a wonderful day with excellent sportsmanship displayed by all. These students truly demonstrated the core values of our school.
Due to this being a weekend external event we have been advised that we will unfortunately no longer be able to participate in this event in 2020.
Tiger Tag 2019
On Monday, 25 November 2019, one hundred and twenty seven students attended the Group 6 North Tiger Tag Gala Day at Onslow Oval. Our ten teams played with great determination & sportsmanship in tough hot conditions. Thank you to our parent volunteers, PlayNRL Western Sydney organisers and referees for a successful day.
2019 Dicoesan Sporting awards
Congratulations to Georgia (Hockey), Bronte (Athletics & Cross Country), Harrison (Athletics & Cross Country) and Tom (Athletics, Touch Football & Rugby League) who were acknowledged for their sporting achievements at the 2019 Diocesan Sports awards.
NSW PSSA Athletics
Congratulations to our eight students who represented Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong at the Catholic Schools NSW Mackillop Athletics Trials at Homebush. Amongst some fierce competition, Bronte & Zach qualified and competed at the NSW Primary School Sports Association Championships in November achieving wonderful personal results. Well done to all students on their fantastic results during these two events .
