Dear Parents/Carers,
As I write the final newsletter for the 2022 school year I cannot help but reflect on the great opportunities that have been afforded to the children of St Paul’s. A part of this is the election of School Captains for the new school year.
The process of appointing School Captains is one that is quite rigorous for Year 5 students. This process includes not only a speech to their peers but also an interview with Mrs Brunetta and myself. Each year, the depth with which the children speak about school life and their faith amazes me. I sit through these interviews and gain many ideas about how we can continue to work to improve the school.
It is a wonderful privilege to be a part of this process as students, Principal and Assistant Principal. The 2023 school captains will be annouced to the school community at the end of year Liturgy this Friday.
A successful school year only comes about because of the commitment and hard work of its staff who are supported by a wonderful parent community. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our St Paul’s parents who continue to support us each day as we work together for the benefit of our St Paul’s students.
May Christmas be filled with many blessings and may you find peace and renewed energy for the New Year during the holiday break. I look forward to continuing our work at St Paul’s in 2023.
As I close this last newsletter for the year, I leave you with this prayer:
Thank you, dear God, for adding another year to my life. I give thanks for my family, friends and community. I give thanks for the riches that you have bestowed upon me through the St Paul’s community. Give me the grace to begin the New Year again with more hope, with more love and the ability to give more.
Amen.
Merry Christmas!

Swimming Carnival
On Friday, 25 November 2022, fifty students ventured out to the Wollondilly Leisure Centre to compete in our school swimming carnival. Our students wore their sporting house colours proudly in a friendly and competitive spirit throughout the day. The day also saw a 2010 record broken by Bryson in the U11 boys 50 metre breaststroke. Without the support of our parent & staff community we would have been unable to hold such a successful event. Congratulations to all students on their efforts throughout the day.
