Dear Parents/Carers,
Last week I watched Mrs Debrincat weave her magic between two students whose friendship had been broken. I marvel at her genuine interest and concern for the students, in situations that sometimes have considerable negative energy. To watch her get to the bottom of things with patience and a big heart reminded me how important her work is at St Paul’s. Occasionally such situations end in a challenging phone call that requires another diplomatic set of skills which she also does well.
I see conflict resolution as another interaction skill that needs to be modelled well for the children. The creative prospects in conflict is one of the touchstones of the Christian way. The cross stands as a symbol of this reality.
Therefore, when the children or an adult, for that matter, is engaged in a conflict situation, it is important to see the positive values which may accrue from the conflict. The way I have observed Mrs Debrincat teach students the skills of conflict resolution shows them the christian way which calls upon the children in conflict to allow redemption in the situation. The climate of christian community at St Paul’s does not develop by chance. The professional and harmonious way Mrs Debrincat teaches conflict resolution to the children offers to the students an interaction model where, even imperfectly, the ideals of the christian way are learnt and lived.
Thank you Mrs Debrincat for your work as our wellbeing coordinator.
Go gently,
Michael Reardon

Principal Award Presentation Error

My deepest apologies for those parents that wanted to attend. I am happy for any student to return the Principal award to be presented next Monday, 20 June 2022.
If you would like this to occur, please return your child's Principal's Award to the school office no later than the morning of Friday,17 June 2022.
Once again, please accept my apology.
School Fees
June school fee account statements have been generated by the CEDoW School Fee Liaison Office and forwarded to families. If you are having difficulty paying for your school fees we ask that you do not ignore your fee statements and make contact with the school immediately via email info@spcdow.catholic.edu.au or telephone 46548900 and request either an appointment or teleconference with Mr Reardon to discuss your financial situation and how the school can assist.
Student Birthdays
A reminder that if your child is celebrating a birthday and you wanted to send in a treat for their class, the school asks that only sealed lollypop's be sent in to share with your child's class. Allen's lollipops are ideal.
With student allergies and the need for parent permission, it is not possible to distribute any other items.
