School News

Illness

During this time, it is even more important that parents keep sick children at home until they are fully recovered. If your child presents to the sick bay with cold/flu like symptoms, they will have their temparature taken and will be required to wear a mask, as per CEO guidelines. Parents will be phoned immediately to collect their child. Students who are sent home from school when they are unwell will require medical clearance to return to school.
Please do not send you child to school if they are sick.

It is also important that we maintain the regulations required in terms of reporting any incidents of COVID-19. It is vital that you inform the school if your child has been tested for COVID-19, or is in isolation due to being a close contact of someone being tested.

Birthdays

If your child is celebrating a birthday we ask that you do not send in any cakes, lolly bags, or treats to be shared with the class, as there may be a cross contamination.
If you would like your child to celebrate their birthday with their class, we suggest a packet of Allen's lolly pops as they have been individually wrapped.

Traffic Safety

The safety of our children is paramount and we all need to be patient and adhere to the road rules and parking restrictions to help keep them safe and to also minimise the impact to traffic around our school.
Please ensure all traffic rules are followed.

Clothing Pool

The clothing pool will reopen on Tuesday afternoons 3:00pm - 4:00pm from Tuesday, 9 June 2020. It will strictly be one parent at a time. If the clothing pool is occupied, we ask that you wait on the seats next to the Church until it is available. Please ensure social distancing is adhered to.

School Ties

Boys and girls school ties are back in stock and available to purchase from the school office. Due to an increase in manufacturing costs, from Term 3 the girls ties will cost $10 each.

School Fees

Yesterday, our Director of School's announced the COVID-19 Fee Concession plan for families financially impacted by the current situation.

To make this process as smooth as possible, the CEO in conjunction with the school have developed the following;

    • A simplified COVID-19 Fee Concession Application form
    • A centralised process involving a single application per family, regardless of the number of different CEDoW schools attended by children and siblings
    • A clear and simple Frequently Asked Questions document available on the CEDoW website
    • An opportunity for families to opt in to a streamlined process by providing CEDoW with permission to access relevant Centrelink information

The application form and additional information is available from the CEDoW website, and of course directly from the school office.

Should you have any questions please contact the school office on 46548900.
