PB4L News

Thank you to the parents that completed the PB4L survey. The feedback was greatly appreciated for the PB4L team. Below is some feedback following the survey.

Respect - How we treat each other.

Parents are generally happy with the way staff are treating the students, the way they speak to them, listen and are kind.

Connections - how close you feel to our school

Parents are happy with the community presence within our school, the values taught and the presence of Leadership (welcoming in the morning and afternoon)

Expectations  - 71% of parents surveyed said that the school displays consistent expectations.

Reward and Praise - 82% of parents surveyed said that their children have been praised or rewarded this year.

Classroom reward systems - 88% or parents surveyed said that they are aware of their child’s classroom reward system.

Problem behaviours - 77% or parents survey said that the class teacher is clear to them about problem behaviours.

One thing that teachers and staff are doing well at St Paul;s for PB4L. Some of the common responses included:

  • Discipline
  • Community feel
  • Instilling core values
  • Positive behaviour acknowledged
  • Playground rewards
  • Children being taught weekly targets
  • Journalling
  • Mentoring students

From the parents surveyed, all of them said they would like to hear more about the PB4L. Therefore, the school will host another PB4L meeting in 2020. We will clarify the PB4L system and what the school’s expectations are. Further information on a date and time will be notified to you via compass in early 2020.
