Important Bus Service Update from Transit Systems NSW
We would like to remind students and staff of the importance of carrying and correctly tapping on their Opal cards when using public transport services.
Recent observations continue to show low compliance rates among some student passengers, which impacts our ability to accurately monitor patronage and ensure adequate service delivery. Your continued support in reinforcing the following key messages to students is appreciated:
- Students must carry their Opal card at all times when using public transport.
- Opal cards should be tapped on and off for every journey.
- Tap-on data helps assess demand and plan reliable school bus services.
Gymnastics Superstar!
Lexi (year 4) was invited to compete for the opportunity to represent Southern NSW at the NSW State Championships. This is a selective team where 2 seperate trials are held and only the overall top 40 from each region are selected to represent their region at the NSW State Championships.
Lexi competed at both trials over the school holidays and received an overall silver medal in the first trial and an overall gold medal in the second trial. Not only were these results outstanding in the national stream (she previously competed at only a state stream level) but this means she was also selected as part of the National Development Program to represent Southern NSW.
We look forward to her competing in the upcoming NSW State Championships and further into the future her goal is to make it all the way to the Olympics.
