Staff Development Day/Pupil Free Day
As previously advertised, staff will participate in a staff development day on Friday, 18 August 2023. (Pupil free day).
The focus of the day for staff will be the new English syllabus. Each stage will support students’ growing knowledge and understanding in the areas of:
- Oral language and communication
- Vocabulary
- Phonological awareness
- Print conventions
- Phonic knowledge
- Reading fluency
- Reading comprehension
- Creating written texts
- Spelling
- Handwriting
- Understanding and responding to literature
Parent Volunteers
If you are volunteering within the school, we ask that you do not bring hot drinks into the classroom for the safety of the students.
Larkin Place Closure
A reminder, commencing Week 4 Term 3, Monday, 7 August 2023 the Larkin place gate will be closed for 4-6 weeks while the play equipment is being installed by the Moduplay Group as this gate will become the entrance to their project site.
Access to the school from Larkin Place car park will be via the Heritage Hall car park gate.
