National Capital  Tour

In week 1 next term our Year 6 students will be undertaking an education tour of the national capital. Students will be given the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational programs with a focus on Australia’s history, culture, heritage and democracy. The Australian Government recognises the importance of all young Australians being able to visit the national capital as part of their Civics and Citizenship education. 
To assist families in meeting the cost of the excursion the Australian Government is contributing funding of $30.00 per student under the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate program towards those costs. This has already been factored into the cost of the excursion.

Larkin Place

As you are aware the standard works have started in Larkin Place and council has started promoting the upgrades and changes to the general community. A media release went out on Monday and a social post advising of the changes.

Council has an engagement platform that the community is encouraged to refer to keep them informed of the different stages of the program. Home | Your Voice Camden (nsw.gov.au)

As this is a trial program, Council will offer engagement opportunities at different stages of the program to seek feedback from the community and businesses.
